Smitten Polish Penny Dreadful

Smitten Polish's fall collection is fantastic and leaves everyone happy and satiated. It has all those wonderful warm tones I've suddenly been yearning for. I got lucky and have been permitted to review three of them for you.

The first up today is a warm copper colored microglitter in a jelly base called Penny Dreadful. No one does jelly microglitters quite like Noelie! The formula on this one was perfect. It was just thin enough as a glitter to not get gloopy and it self leveled perfectly. I only used two thin coats to reach opacity with not VNL. I had barely any cleanup needed and it dried to a nice smooth finish even though it was packed with glitter. This baby can lean red toned or brown depending on the light you have- here are the pictures to speak for themselves :)

The Fall Collection will be restocked at a date yet to be determined.

Happy Birthday Pretty Bitch!

It's Jaclyn's birthday today! The head bitch of Pretty Bitch Polish is celebrating and put out some lovelies to celebrate with us! I have two of her Birthday Collection up  :)

Head Bitch in Charge is the first one up. This is a black jelly that has holo square glitter in it! Don't let the jelly part fool you though. It is opaque in two coats only! The formula was great for a jelly. Not too thick and not too runny and it looks great in all lighting.

Next up is Birthday Suit. This is her awaited holo topper! It is super close in comparison to EP Djinn which I've owned and it is more holo than INLP My Private Rainbow. It gives off a linear effect with just the slightest scatter in it. I had minimal greying for a topper and it is gorgeous!

And of course, no Birthday collection review would be complete without the Birthday Bitch herself! Happy Birthday Jaclyn! It's such a joy to work with you :)

Smitten Polish Cauldron of Rainbows & Nimbus

I absolutely love this mani! It will likely return for my October Halloween rotation.

I used Smitten Polish Cauldron of Rainbows and Nimbus on the accent nail. The stickers are decals from Eat. Sleep. Polish. Cauldron of Rainbows is a wonderful black holo. Unlike most black holos it doesn't lean grey or silver. In some lights it carries a tiny purple tinge on me but I like it since it makes the black more wearable. Nimbus is a dove grey holo that is so perfect in every way! I always wanted to wear the white nail look but it was too stark for me. This is a nice variation on it that I can definitely wear. Nimbus is a creamy holo so it goes opaque in just 1-2 coats. Cauldron of Rainbows is her classic jelly holo which can take 2-3 coats, but the holo payoff is so worth it!

The decals are going to be some of my go tos! They peeled off easy and stuck like crazy. I didn't have edges coming up or difficulty placing them. They held up well as I took them off the sheet and even held up through my acetone. To remove them I dipped my nails in my usual acetone tub and then used a soft rubber orange stick to push the leftover decal off my nails. Look for these coming soon because I have cats, unicorns, and owls!
